Well I am now in week 34 of pregnancy. I have started my weekly appointments at the doctors office until he is here. The doctor I saw yesterday seems to think it will be maybe another 4 weeks. That would be wonderful! :-) I am getting more excited every day about meeting Isaiah. I just can't imagine what it will be like to meet him for the first time. I can't wait to see what he looks like & what kind of personality he will have. I have been working on getting the nursery ready & I am almost there so that makes me even more anxious to meet him! :-)

Update on Pregnancy: 32 weeks

Hi everyone, Sorry for no updates lately. I am really bad at updating this & don't have a whole lot to write about.
I am now 32 weeks & pretty much just getting larger every day! Isaiah is approximately 4 lbs & 17 inches long now according the Pregnancy Calender I look at online. :-) I can tell he is getting bigger, I feel so many more movements now & while I used to feel him just on one side, he is now all spread out. Today I went to the Dr. just for a check up & everything is looking good. The doctor said it looks like his head is already in the right position & that it shouldn't change between now & delivery time.

The picture above is of my friend Judith & I at her baby shower a couple of weeks ago. She is about 4 weeks ahead of me, & having her baby on Feb. 1oth by C-section.

I went to the doctor on Monday for my 28 week check up. Seems like it's going quickly but at the same time I can hardly wait for March to be here. Things are going very well. At all my appointments so far the doctor has been very positive about how both the baby & I are doing. I am so thankful for what God has done for us & I look forward to what he has in store for us with our little boy Isaiah. I know it will bring many challenges but I am really looking forward to being a mommy to my precious little boy. :-) I am now going back every 2 weeks to the doctor & then at 36 weeks will begin my 1 week appointments until he is born.

22 week check up

Sorry for no updates on the pregnancy lately. There hasn't been too much going on, I am going on 22 weeks pregnant now. (This Tuesday) Everything is going pretty well, I am definitely starting to get a bigger belly, feeling more movements & even some strong kicks here & there. They told me at my 20 week check up that I am anemic so I am taking two iron vitamins per day but there has been no serious issues & little Isaiah seems to be doing great & just growing more every day. :-)

We went to the DR. today just for a check up & everything is good. We got to hear the heartbeat again which is always neat. So, I go back exactly two weeks from today & we find out whether we are having a boy or girl & I am so excited!

Jason's parents, married 30 years on August, 19th, 2008.

Today I had my appointment for the baby, it went so well. Everything is totally normal, we got to hear the heartbeat which was really cool. My next appointment in is 4 weeks, & then the next appointment after that, we get to find out what the sex of the baby is. I am now 12 weeks, so already in trimester two! :-) Hopefully the next 3 months will go as fast as the last 3 months have, & then the next 3 even faster! hehe.. :-)

Jason & I are leaving tomorrow for CA! We are very excited. We are going to of course spend time with his family & some friends. Also while we are there, they are having a party to celebrate Jason's parents being married 30 years! We get to go to sea world while we are there, which I am very excited about! I have heard it's awesome & have always wanted to go. I will try to remember to take lots of pictures while we are there & post some of them on here when I get back.

Not too much is going on right now with the pregnancy. I am having really long days because of being super tired & sick most of the time. Thankfully the medicine I am on helps a lot with the sickness part but not with fatigue. I will find out more about the pregnancy in the future once the baby gets bigger & I have more appointments but right now it's kind of a waiting game.

We just got through our big youth event at church, "Youth Week, 2008." It went so well, & I was very encouraged last night while talking to several teens there. Several of them gave their testimony, shared what youth week meant to them, etc.. We had a great service. Last night a guy gave his life to God. We had been praying & waiting for that for a long time! We were & are so excited to see all the progress the kids are making & how God is just really working in their lives & making a huge difference in the decisions they make. Sometimes it's easy to feel like we are getting no where & even though I know that's not true, it's very encouraging to see some big steps that were taken.

Two weeks from this Saturday, (the 23rd) Jason & I are flying to CA to visit all of Jason's family as well as some friends. His parents will be married for 30 years so we are going to celebrate that with them. We are very excited. :-)

Scary Accident

On Wednesday I had to drop off the girls I watch, go run some errands, & then I was heading back home, only for a few minutes to head to the first night of youth week. I came to a stop light & when it turned green I was going straight, but a guy coming from the left side was running a red light. I didn't not see him at all at first but he sped up even more to run the red light & plowed into my car... Jason just happened to be two cars behind me, and was obviously freaking out. I got out of the car & the only thing that I have had to deal with is a burn on my right arm. I went to the DR. yesterday & he gave me some stuff for that & said to keep it wrapped. As far as the baby, he/she is totally fine. We got to see the heart beat so that was great to see & reassured us.

The guy got a ticket for running a red light, so thankfully his insurance will cover it. He came out lying but thankfully I had several witnesses that saw what happened & filled out papers for me.

That could have been a lot different, it came very close to hitting my door, & then I would probably not even be here right now. It really made us think, that we need to be serious with God at all times, always seeking a closer relationship with Him.

So I ended up having to move up the date for my 1st appointment. I have been so sick, so in order for them to give me anything for it, I had to go in. It wasn't the most fun appointment, there was no ultrasound or hearing the heart beat yet.. just stuff you don't look forward to. But, I got the medicine. I actually just took my first dose & am anxiously waiting for it to kick in.

I am 7 weeks along (yesterday). & like I said before they are telling me I am due March 17th. I go back September 2nd for the next check up.

Big News!!

Just wanted to announce to you that don't know, that Jason & I found out last Friday (July, 18th) that we are going to be parents! We are very excited. We went to the Dr. & confirmed it on the following Monday. I have been very sick but try to keep my head up & remind myself why! I am very excited to be a mom & can't wait to meet this little one inside of me. It's an amazing experience already! They told me that my approximate due date is March 17th. I go back August 6th to get my first ultrasound etc.. & they said they may change that date.

Just keep us in your prayers!

Please Pray for the Entwistles

Ben Entwistle, Age 20, passed away yesterday night. He was in Nairobi, Africa & became very ill. They were airlifting him to South Africa for a very dangerous emergency surgery, & he passed away on the plane before getting there. His dad was there with him & I know the whole family needs a whole lot of prayer right now. Just another reminder that our time here on earth is so limited & we never know when it's our time to go.

Romans 14:8- For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.

July 4th Beach Trip

On July 4th weekend we took a trip to the beach. We went to the fireworks, went out on the boat on Saturday, went to the ocean, & brought back Mac & Sissy. We had a great time! Here are several pictures from this trip, of course I had to add a couple of the puppies. :-)

Two years ago the same time of year, I talked to Jason on the phone for the first time & we began our relationship. The next year after that, Jason & I were already a married couple & went there for July 4th. This was our 2nd year going together & there are a lot of memories connected to the time of year & the trip has become our little special tradition. :-)

Around 5 weeks back I found out that my aunts dog had 5 puppies... as soon as we found out we knew we wanted to get one. We went down for the July 4th weekend & ending up bringing back two. They are so sweet & adorable. The shorter haired one is Sissy & the one with the longer hair is Mac. They are already spoiled!

This is a new picture of my niece that my sister-in-law, Rachael recently emailed me. She is growing up so fast already. She was born in December & it seems like we just saw her in January. Unfortunately, I only have pictures to see how she is growing but we will get to see her along with the rest of Jason's family & friends in August. We can hardly wait but I guess we'll have to! :-)

I finally got my camera charger today in the mail. It came all the way from Hong Kong! Anyway, I will have pictures of the house soon. It's charging now so it's not quite ready yet.

Happy Fathers Day to...

To my dad, Thank you so much for all you have done for me, you put so much time into everything that I did growing up & taught me so many things. Most importantly you taught me to rely on God & that is something I will never forget. Thanks for everything.

To my husband, I look forward so much to when we have kids & you will be a father. You are already a great uncle, & I know you will be such a great dad. I look forward to many memories & teaching our children together about God!

And to my new father-in-law, Happy Fathers Day! Thanks for accepting me into the Vreeke family & always being so welcoming when we come to visit you all. Looking forward to the next visit in August very much!!

Okay, so I haven't updated this in a while. The reason would be, I was planning on posting some pictures of the house we just moved into, & during the move, I completely misplaced or lost the charger for my camera. I have looked everywhere and I don't know where it is. So, I will either have to get a new one or not take pictures anymore. (I will be getting a new one for sure, I'm picture crazy)

This is our rabbit Tobi. We got him in December. He was so tiny & still is. He only weighs about 2 pounds & that's the biggest he will get. He is so sweet. He loves to be held & his newest thing is licking our noses. Just thought I'd share pictures with you!

We found out tonight (April 29th) that Tobi is a boy! Haha, for the last few months since we got him we thought that he was a she. So now we know different, guess I'm going to have replace that pink blanket I got him! :-)

I came across these pictures of my two nieces & thought I'd share them. They were taken back in January of this year. Leilani is 8 years old & Amber is around 4 months old.

We are visiting California in August, so we are very excited to see all of our family there. Jason's parents will be married 30 years in August so it will be a fun trip as it always is!

One year already?!

I can hardly believe it but a year ago today Jason & I were getting married!
Above is one of my favorite pictures of us from that day. :-)

A month from from now Jason & I will be moving! We are very excited!
We will be in a 3 bedroom house, instead of a 2 bedroom apartment
so looking forward to that! I will post some pictures of the house
at some point.

Jason & I were at Concord mall this weekend & saw a booth called
"Wild Creations" Inside are two African Dwarf Frogs. They are tiny!
There is also a snail. You only have to clean it out twice a year &
feed them twice a week! The picture below is from the website.
Ours has blue & white rocks & the bigger rocks are clear, but you
get the idea!

A few days ago my sister-in-law Rachael, sent me some new pictures
of our niece, Amber Linsey! I thought she looked especially cute
in this one!

On Friday, Greg, Ashley, Adam, & Sarah all went to the CCHE home school prom. It was Greg's senior prom. I thought they looked pretty good. :-)
